How To Make Sweet Pongal
REQUIRED ITEMS:
Moong dal ----- 1/2 cup
Rice ----- 1/2 cup
Ghee ----- 1/2 cup
Cashew nuts ----- 1/2 cup
Coconut pieces ----- 1/2 cup
Raisins ----- 1/4 cup
Sugar ----- 3/4 cup
Water ----- 1 1/2 cup
PROCEDURE:
- Take a bowl and wash the rice and moong dal.
- Take a cooker and heat it for 2 sec.
- Add washed rice and moong dal in it.
- Add water in it and cook for 10 min by placing lid on it.
- Put weight also on it.
- Wait for 10 min.
- After 10 min, you will get 3 whistles.
- After 3 whistles has come, make the stove off.
- After wait for 10 min.
- Now open the lid of it and add sugar in it.
- Mix well and cook for 10 min.
- After 10 min, make the stove off and take into a bowl.
- Now take a pan and heat it for 2 sec.
- Add ghee in it and heat it for 2 sec.
- Add cashew nuts, raisins and coconut pieces also in it.
- Fry all for 10 min till nuts comes to golden brown colour.
- After frying nuts, make the stove off.
- Add fried nuts, rasins and coconut pieces in it.
- Add heated ghee also in it.
- Mix well and serve in a cup.
- Now you are ready with sweet pongal infront of you.
- Eat and enjoy the very tasty, delicious and yummy sweet item sweet pongal.
