How To Make Aloo Coconut Gravy Curry


Boiled aloo pieces             ----- 1cup
Coconut pieces                  ----- 1/4 cup
Poppy seeds                       ----- 2 spoons
Oil                                      ----- 1/2 cup
Jeera                                  ----- 1 spoon
Onion pieces                      ----- 1/2 cup
Onion paste                       ----- 2 spoons
Red chillie paste                ----- 2 spoons
Curry leaves                      ----- 1/4 cup
Pudina leaves                    ----- 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves               ----- 1/4 cup
Garam masala powder     -----1 spoon
Salt                                    ----- as required
Turmeric powder              ----- small pinch

  1. First make the stove on and place a pan on it.
  2. Roast coconut pieces and poppy seeds separatly with out adding oil into it.
  3. After roasting for 4 min, make into fine paste in a mixer and keep it aside.
  4. Now add 4 spoons of oil into the pan.
  5. After 2 sec, add jeera, onion pieces, turmeric powder into it.
  6. Mix well once and add red chillie paste in it.
  7. Fry for 2 min and add onion paste and mix well.
  8. Add boiled aloo pieces into it and mix it thoroughly for 2 min.
  9. Now add coconut and poppy seeds paste into it.
  10. Add curry leaves, coriander leaves and pudina leaves also in it.
  11. Now mix once and pour 2 cups water into it.
  12. Add salt into it as per taste and keep a lid/ plate on it.
  13. Cook for 10 to 15 min by mixing it occasionally.
  14. After 15 min, make the stove off and take into a bowl.
  15. You can add cashew nuts in the curry also.(your wish)
  16. Now you are ready with aloo coconut gravy curry infront of you.
  17. You can serve with rotis, puris, chapati, pulka and naan also.
