How To Make Mexican Rice


Basmati rice                       -----1 1/2 cup
Tomato pulp                       ----- 1/2 cup
Capsicum pieces                 ----- 1/2 cup
Onion pieces                       ----- 1 cup
Green chillies                     ----- 4 to 5
Oil                                       ----- 1/2 cup
Salt                                     ----- as required
Coriander leaves                ----- 1/4 cup

  1. First wash basmati rice with plenty of water and drain the water from it.
  2. Take a pan and heat it for 2 sec.
  3. Add 3 to 4 spoons oil into it.
  4. Heat oil for 2 sec and add onion piecesin it.
  5. Fry for 2 sec and add green chillie slices in it.
  6. Now add capsicum pieces and mix well once.
  7. Now add washed basmati  rice in it.
  8. Roast the rice for 5 min and add tomato pulp into it.
  9. Mix well and cook for 2 sec by keeping lid on it.
  10. Now pour 2cups of water and add salt in it as per taste.
  11. Cook for 10 to 15 min by placing a plate/ lid on it.
  12. After 15min, open the lid and mix well.
  13. If it has cooked well, make the stove off.
  14. If it is not done, cook for another 5 to 10 min.
  15. Now add coriander leaves into it and serve in plates.
  16. Now you are ready with mexican rice infront of you.
  17. Eat and enjoyvery tasty, delicious and yummy mexican rice.
