How To Make Semiya Upma


Semiya/ vermicelli            ----- 1cup
Oil                                     ----- 3 to 4 spoons
Black gram                       ----- 1 spoon
Bengal gram                     ----- 1 1/2 spoon 
Mustard seeds                  ----- 1/2 spoon
Jeera                                 ----- 1/2 spoon
Curry leaves                     ----- 1/4 cup
Onion pieces                     -----1/2 cup
Green chillie pieces         ----- 1/4 cup
Carrot pieces                  ----- 1/4 cup
 Aloo pieces                     ----- 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves             ----- 1/4 cup
Cashew nuts                    ----- as required
  1. Make the stove on and place a pan on it.
  2. Heat for 2 sec, add semiya into it.
  3. Roast evenly for 2 min by mixing well.
  4. After it has finely roasted, take into a bowl and keep it aside.
  5. Now place the pan again on the stove and add oil into it.
  6. Add bengal gram, black gram, mustard seeds and jeera in it.
  7. Add curry leaves, cashew nuts, onion and green chillie pieces into it and mix well.
  8. Now add chopped carrot, aloo into it,
  9. Make to cook for 2 sec by mixing it carefully.
  10. Now pour 1 1/2 cups of water in it.
  11.  Now add salt in it as required and mix well once.
  12. Wait for some time untill, water has boiled.
  13.  After water has boiled, add roasted semiya into it.
  14. Mix it well and keep a plate/ lid on the pan.
  15. Wait for 5 to 8 min.
  16. After open the lid and mix it well.
  17. Cook it untill water has fully absorbed.
  18. After add coriander leaves in it and make the stove off.
  19. Now you are ready with vermicelli/ semiya upma infront of you.
  20. Enjoy the very tasty, yummy and healthy tiffin item semiya upma.
